How can we communicate the position of the patient’s teeth in space to the laboratory technician, especially in a digital workflow? We have very few tools to accomplish this. If the models are incorrectly positioned by the lab technician, it could result in inaccuracies in the final restorations, both aesthetically and functionally. Rehabilitations are already complex, so we must minimize laboratory errors wherever possible. Taking accurate and specific photos of the patient can help the clinician provide better information to the lab technician.
